About us

Addison Building started trading in 1964.  Originally started as house builders with many houses in Kempston (Bedford) built by proprietor Mr Smith. 

The business changed and move location over the years to supplying building materials to the general public to then moving on to garden buildings.  During the late 1990's Addisons took on PVCu double glazed conservtories and windows.  Located next to Sainsbury's in Kempston.

Ousebank started trading in 1994 from a small office at home.  Suppyling and fitting VEKA double glazed windows, doors and conservatories. 

As the business expanded the decision was taken to move the business into a small commercial unit in Kempston (in 2004).

During the time short time at Singer Way in Kempston Addison Buildings approached Ousebank with talk of a merger.

It was decided that Ousebank would take over Addisons and honor guarantees for customer's who had had conservatories and double glazing installed by Addisons.

The garden building sales and Agencies would also continue but re-location was a must and urgent.

The site near Sainsburys was then subsequently sold off for development and flats were then built in its place.

Addison's and Ousebank merged soon after (2005) and re-located again from Kempston to Oakley (nr Bedford).  The premises in Oakley needed  to be completely changed and new offices built, display area cleared from portacabins etc but we are making on going improvements on a regular basis.

Work was carried out and new offices built by Addison Ousebank's own staff.

Outdoor and indoor displays were established with new buildings being added on a regular basis;
